Nero Marquina

Nero Marquina is one of the most recognized black marbles in Spain, originating from the Markina-Xemein area in Biscay, Basque Country. Its deep black, fine and compact background is crossed by irregular white veins that vary from piece to piece, giving each surface its own character.

It is a classic marble with centuries of use in Spanish architecture, highly valued for countertops, flooring, wall cladding and decorative elements where a strong, elegant contrast against light surfaces or wood is desired.

Like any marble, it should be sealed periodically and kept away from acidic products to preserve its shine and the intensity of the black over time.
